How to properly sew a tulle: preparatory work

- Draw a pattern outline. The dimensions of the product - 60x100 cm. To begin with, it is necessary to cut out such a rectangle: 100 cm + 5 cm to the hem along the length, the width of the eaves 60 cm multiplied by a factor of 2.5, we get 150 cm, add 4 cm to the edges. Measure out the rectangle 105x154 cm.
- The best way to cut the fabric evenly is to make a small incision, to stretch the thread, after which we get a straight groove for cutting.
The same is done on the second edge.
Fold the fabric in half in height, secure with pins. Draw the arch according to the principle of the disappearing marker: at the edges leave flat sections of 20 cm, arch height 30 cm. Using the marker draw the contour with points, fix it with needles, cut out, remove the needles. The base is ready.
How to sew a tulle by yourself: a detailed master-class
- It is necessary to work the edges: iron the seams before you detach them. You can not sweep, make a double hem by 1 cm.
- Iron the cornice tape.
- The next step is subtraction of the hem. Then walk around the edges again with an iron.
- Sew the tape on the front of the curtain, fix the position with needles, leave small tails at the edges.
- The allowance is cut off by 0.5 cm, the ribbon with tail is wrapped, sewn.
- Make a contrasting bake by attaching it to the front side with a turn in reverse. Sweep, stitch the tape and the bake (do not forget to pull out the note), iron the seams.
- Tie the endings on one side, make folds, tie the cords on the other side.
