Moreover, it is not necessary to buy a ready-made mixture for epilation , it is also not cheap, it is easy to prepare it in your own kitchen from the available components.
How to prepare caramel for shugaring at home?
On the Internet, you can find many ways to make a paste for epilation, but most of them are not very successful or completely wrong, because they contain the wrong number of necessary components.
The correct recipe for a good mixture for shugaring at home
Ingredients:
- white sugar - 300 g;
- water 40 ml;
- lemon juice - 40 ml.
Preparation
These components must be thoroughly mixed and boiled on minimum heat until caramel paste-like consistency is obtained, stirring constantly.
If you do not have fresh lemons at hand, you can replace fresh with ordinary citric acid. It will take slightly more than 0.5 tbsp. spoons of the product.

- Prepare the ingredients by accurately measuring the portions.
- In any container, first mix the sugar and water, then add the lemon juice.
- Pour the solution into a saucepan with a thick bottom, bring it to a boil over medium heat for 2 minutes.
- As soon as the mixture begins to change color, reduce the heat to a minimum and continuously stir the mixture for 2 minutes.
- When the caramel shade becomes honey, immediately remove it from the plate and pour it into a plastic container.
- Allow the paste to cool, checking its consistency.
Ideally, the fully prepared mixture resembles thick honey.
How to properly make yourself a shugaring at home?
By making a paste, it can be used in 2 ways.
Bandage Technology
The first option will appeal to women who are used to waxing, especially hot. To remove hair, apply a warm sugar mixture to the treated area with a special wooden stick or blunt butter knife. From above, as in the case of waxing, glue a piece of cloth or paper. After 20 seconds, quickly break the strip.
Classical technique
The second option requires a complete cooling of the paste, which lasts about 3 hours. This epilation is carried out only with hands. You need to tear off a small piece of soft caramel and knead it with your fingers until it turns from a transparent ball into a muddy ball. After that, the paste is pressed against the skin and begins to pull 2 fingers up against the growth of the hair. When the whole ball is stretched, the mixture must be torn off with sharp movements.
It is important to know how to properly apply shugaring paste at home with bandage and classical technology. In the first case, caramel is applied on the growth of hair, and is removed against this direction, as well as with the usual bio- or wax epilation .
