Containers are made from special food plastic or stainless steel, so you can use one thermos to preserve the heat of a full-fledged two-course dinner.

If you need a thermos exclusively for drinks, then your attention should be drawn to models with a narrow neck, a special spout or a pomp. The volume of the thermos bottle with a narrow neck is from 0.35 liters to 1.2 liters, with the lid being of great importance. It is believed that the best temperature is the lid, which is simply inserted into the neck, like a cork. Nevertheless, on sale are models with twist-off lids, often equipped with special spouts, strainer for welding. For fans of large volumes pump pumps are more suitable, the capacity of which often varies within 1-3 liters. Convenience of this thermos also in the fact that it does not need to open or tilt, on the top of it there is a special "button", pushing on which you "pump" the liquid from the thermos. Just put the mug to the tip of the thermos, press the button a couple of times and get a full cup of hot tea.

There are also thermos with a spout, which you need to tilt, like an ordinary teapot, while outwardly they are very similar to pump models. The disadvantage of such a thermos is that with a large volume and, accordingly, weight, you each time you tilt it to pour tea or coffee.

Fans of miniature thermoses will like thermo mugs designed for a glass of boiling water. The largest volume of mug will be about 0.5 liters, while it can have an untwisting cover or a convenient valve in it.

The main constituent of the thermos is the flask. Modern models are most often equipped with a stainless steel flask. Its advantage is that such a thermos is not afraid of falls and mechanical influences, a lack of the same design in the impossibility of replacing the bulb when it is damaged. Glass flasks keep heat longer and can be replaced in case of spoilage, however, a thermos with glass "filling" is more fragile and requires careful handling. The larger the volume of the thermos and the narrower its neck, the longer the beverages in it will remain hot.
