The history of Jobs's disease
For a long time, Jobs's illness was only rumored. Neither Steve himself, nor Apple, gave any information, because they did not want to interfere in personal life. And only in 2003 there was information that Jobs was seriously ill and the diagnosis was terrible: pancreatic cancer .
This disease is fatal, and most people live with such a diagnosis for no more than five years, but with Jobs everything was different. And after a short resistance to the intervention of medicine in 2004, Jobs was nevertheless removed the tumor. Then he did not have to go through chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
But already in 2006, when Jobs spoke at the conference, his appearance again gave rise to a lot of rumors about the disease. He was thin, even too thin, and his past activity left no trace. The same rumors began to spread in two more years, after his accession to WWDC. And then representatives of Apple commented that this is an ordinary virus, and Jobs still considered it his personal business.
And already in 2009 Jobs took a vacation for six months, but did not cease to participate in the affairs of the company. Pancreatic cancer was caused by liver transplantation, carried out in April of the same year. This operation was successful and the doctors had excellent predictions.
But January 2011 again changed everything, and not for the better. Jobs took another sick leave. And, like during the previous holidays, I took an active part in the company's work.
To fight cancer, Steve Jobs took eight years. This is much more than many other people can. But all this time he fought for his life, participated in the management of the company and was surrounded by relatives. He was a persistent and strong man.
