Facade insulation under plaster

Warming of the house is the most important stage in the construction. Choosing a quality material allows you to significantly reduce the cost of maintaining a comfortable temperature for housing, in addition, the layer of insulation further protects the walls from various damages.

What kind of insulation is better to choose for the facade under the plaster?

The facade insulation under the plaster must meet several requirements: after installation to form a sufficiently firm and non-porous surface, be resistant to moisture and, of course, perfectly perform its insulating tasks. Now two types of materials are best suited to these requests.

The first one is mineral wool . Plates from it have low moisture permeability and well lock heat inside the room. In addition, this material does not burn at all, so this heater can be considered one of the best. Its cost is low, and the service life is very long, therefore, having finished the facade with mineral wool, and on top of plastering, you will be completely satisfied with the result.

The second version of the insulation for walls outside the plaster is a styrofoam board . They are absolutely not afraid of the impact of water, and therefore suitable for work with any kind of facade plaster. Such boards have a low weight, so that they do not give additional load to the supporting structures. Foam polystyrene plates are easy to install and long serve. Their disadvantage in terms of operation is the combustibility of the material, so such a heater for external walls under the plaster is better to sew up with a special non-combustible film. Another disadvantage is the high cost of expanded polystyrene in comparison with mineral wool plates.

Use of plaster

The technological process of installation and subsequent plastering of the facade consists of successively fixing the following materials on the main walls: first, it is required to nail the heat insulation sheets with special dowels, then seal the seams and completely treat the walls with an adhesive compound. After this, it is necessary to trim the walls with a base layer of plaster and fix the glass net. When these operations are performed, you can proceed with applying decorative plaster and finishing the facade .
