As already mentioned in passing, jackets on a sintepon are much less warm than those that are warmed down. Therefore, for example, a leather down jacket on a sintepon will be an excellent choice for autumn and spring time, when the air is cool for a raincoat, but it's not too cold. And all because sintepon, as a non-natural material and not at all airy (in contrast to fluff), does not hold heat well and lets in too cold air. Therefore, winter down jackets on a sintepon are not the best choice, unless the winter in your region is warm and mild, without too much gusts of cold wind and frost. But to the undoubted advantages of the synthepone, it can be attributed that this filler is very, very light, so that the weight of the jacket will be almost invisible to you. A short down jacket on the sintepon will be really a great choice for the autumn, as it does not get wet and protects well from the slight cool wind.
But as an alternative, you can choose coat-down jackets not on the sintepon, but on synthetic fluff. According to the price category, they are somewhere in the middle between the fluff and the sintepon, so this coat will still be cheaper than what is with the lining of natural fluff. At the same time, such a synthep is not only inexpensive, but also light, and quite warm. So a jacket with such a filler will be a good choice for a cold winter time. Although, if you live in the province with a very cold winter and severe frosts, it is better to still give preference to natural materials, leaving short and long down jackets on sintepone for warmer times.
