Do citizens of Ukraine and Russia need a visa to visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE)? Unfortunately, they are not on the list of 33 countries whose citizens have been granted visa-free entry rights to the UAE since 2011. The process of obtaining a visa by citizens of both states is the same.
The main requirements for issuing a visa to the United Arab Emirates
Before you get a visa to the UAE, you need to contact the UAE Embassy in Ukraine and in Russia, which is located in Moscow, on the street. Olof Palme, 4, or a travel agency through which you buy a tour. The main conditions are:
- The presence of a passport, valid for another six months from the date of application;
- term after arrival from a previous trip to the UAE, must be more than 30 days;
- submit documents in advance, at least 2 weeks before the trip (it should be borne in mind that there are many national holidays in the UAE).
What kind of visa is needed in the UAE?
For a trip to the United Arab Emirates, there are several types of visas. What kind of visa you need in the UAE depends on the purpose of your trip:
- Transit visa in the UAE . It is issued at the international airport directly upon arrival, if you wish to leave it or your transit stay there exceeds a day. This should be in advance (for 2 weeks) warned the airline, which will submit your documents to the immigration service of the airport. Validity period is 96 hours.
- Tourist (short-term) visa in the UAE . It is issued preliminary in a travel agency or hotel (if there is visa support). The visa is single entry, the period of stay is 30 days, the corridor for entry is 60 days, it is not renewed.
- Visit-visa to the UAE. Formed beforehand in the consular department of the Embassy of the UAE at the invitation of relatives who are citizens of the Emirates. The visa is single entry, the period of stay is 30 days, the corridor for entry is 60 days, it is extended upon the request of the host country.
- Service visa in the UAE . It is issued in advance at the embassy at the invitation of the organization in the UAE. The visa is single entry, the stay is 14 days, the corridor for entry is 60 days, it is not renewed.
- Long-term (resident or working) visa in the UAE . It is issued by the employer or sellers in the consular department of the embassy when purchasing housing (not less than 270 thousand dollars), investing in the economy or finding employment in the UAE. The period of stay is up to 3 years, then it can be extended.
Documents required for the opening of visas:
- passport or color scan of its first page;
- completed in English and personally signed by a questionnaire (3pcs);
- 3 color photographs 3 * 4cm;
- for a guest visa - an invitation from a citizen of the UAE, and for a tourist visa - confirmed reservation at the hotel;
- receipt for payment of the consular fee;
- health insurance policy;
- a woman under 30 who travels unaccompanied by her husband or who has different surnames with him - a copy of the marriage certificate.
For a child:
- a notarized permission to leave the child abroad from the parents;
- birth certificate ;
- 2 photos 3 * 4;
- questionnaire.
If the child is entered on the parent's passport, it is necessary to provide a scanned page where it is inscribed. All scanned copies (for submission of documents to the embassy) must be clear, in JPG format, as separate files signed in English.
Refusal of a visa in the UAE
Under the new rules for issuing visas to the UAE, the immigration service can refuse to obtain a visa without explaining the reasons, telling you about it 24 hours in advance. You can get a refusal in such cases:
- the child is accompanied by an adult with a different surname;
- a girl under 30 years of age, unaccompanied by her husband, booked a hotel room lower than 4 stars (for obtaining a visa then a visa is required
deposit $ 1500); - you are entered in the "black list", is looking for Interpol or your personal data is the same.
The deadline for issuing a visa to the UAE after submitting all documents is small - 3 working days, but one must take into account that the UAE has a weekend Friday and Saturday, and in Ukraine and Russia - Saturday and Sunday.
