- loop (Furosemide, ethacrynic acid, Lasix, Torasemide). Such diuretics for hypertension are considered to be the most intensive diuretics, since they provide evacuation of all types of salts;
- antagonists of aldosterone (Veroshpiron). The drugs block the production of the hormone, which is responsible for the retention of water and salt in the body.
