You can, of course, go to the store and buy any table or table that you like. However, it is much more interesting to make such a tank for an aquarium with your own hands. We should not forget that on this pedestal there will be a rather heavy aquarium with water, soil, various decorative elements. Therefore, the pedestal, first of all, should be reliable and durable. She should not sag under any circumstances, as this is fraught with unpleasant consequences.

Making cupboards for an aquarium

As experience shows, in order to make a tank for an aquarium, we need the following materials:

The height of our self-made pedestal for the aquarium will be 75 cm, length - 92 cm, width - 50 cm.

  1. First we need to cut the size of the workpiece from the bars for the top of our product and for the feet of the future cabinet.
  2. After this, you can begin to join the workpiece. Do this by drilling a hole to the middle of the bar, and then screw into the hole samorez.
  3. Similarly, we fasten eight legs to the top of the product.
  4. The frame must be well impregnated with linseed oil.
  5. From plywood scraps we make the holders for the shelf and attach them from the inside on the legs.
  6. To make the structure of rigidity from below attach the countertop of plywood.
  7. We insert the upper and lower plywood shelves, which will also help to strengthen the cabinet. And for the strength of the lower shelves on the inside of the legs we nail the slats on which these shelves will rest.
  8. We paint the whole structure with waterproof paint. Allow the paint to dry well.
  9. The turn of the plating of the future curb has come. First, we sew the side walls with plywood, then attach the strips on top and bottom of the front of the cabinet. After that, attach the plywood strips on the back and on the table top.
  10. Now sew the middle part between the doors and attach the doors themselves.
  11. We decorate the resulting cabinet with a decorative strip and corners. We attach the handles to the doors.
  12. Cover the cabinet with varnish in 2-3 layers.

So our solid and beautiful curbstone is ready for the aquarium.
