What is a concrete grid?

The concrete grid consists of modules consisting of identical cells, laid in the soil to protect the soil from mechanical damage. It is in these cells filled with soil that they plant lawn grass.

Concrete lawn tile grill is widely used in those cases if you need to simultaneously draw up a site and use it for car parking. That is, at the same time you have a magnificent lawn in front of your house and a good level of parking. In this case, there is no need to worry about the safety of the grass layer, since all the pressure is not on the plants, but on the concrete walls. In addition, the concrete grid is used not only as an eco-park, but also as a playground for games.

The advantages of lawn grills made of concrete include strength and low cost, compared with plastic products. Variations of concrete modules are quite diverse. The most popular option is squares. At least there is a concrete lattice-type lattice. The original appearance of your lawn will give the grille by the type of cells or circles.

If we talk about the dimensions of the concrete grid, they are different, for example 600x400x100 mm, 400x200x80 mm, 400x300x100 mm, 500x500x80 cm and others.

How to lay a concrete lawn lattice?

Most often, site owners prefer to contact specialists who quickly and qualitatively decorate your site with a lawn grate. However, a non-professional can install it. To begin with, the top layer is removed from the ground, the height of which is calculated taking into account the layout of the sand cushion and the grid module. After that, sand-gravel layer in height from 20 to 50 cm is laid on the ground. This value depends on where the grid is installed. To enter the garage or parking lot, the height of the layer is 20-30 cm. If it is assumed that trucks will enter the territory, the sandy-ground layer is increased. After that, lay a leveling layer consisting of sand and cement, up to 3 mm thick. After the preparatory stages, the grid module is laid, which is taped with a rubber mallet. The lattice cavities are filled with soil and sown with grass.
