For a long time passed those times when for a woman to stay in the hospital needed to prepare two things - a passport and an exchange card, everything else, from a nightgown to nappies for a baby, was issued on the spot. Yes, and care for the newborn in the hospital was completely in charge of the medical staff, my mother's only concern was to feed the child. Now the orders have changed, the children in the maternity hospital are no longer wearing diapers, as before, they are with their mother from the very moment of birth, and care for them falls on my mother's shoulders. Therefore, the future mother should have an idea of what the care of the child after childbirth is and what the child needs in the hospital.
Care of the newborn
Care for the newborn in the hospital consists of changing diapers (every 3 hours) and stained clothing, and simple hygienic procedures. Every morning the child needs to be washed with cotton swabs moistened in warm boiled water. Eyes wipe from the outer corner to the inside, using separate tampons for each eye. Then they put things in order in the nozzle - they clean it with damp cotton buddies. If necessary, cut out overgrown nails. At the end, the child is washed away, if necessary, applying a protective cream under the diaper.

- Diaper and / or cotton diapers, depending on the season - 4-6 pcs. Although the swaddling of the baby is no longer respected, one can not do without diapers: they are necessary to spread on the swaddling table, to lay a crib where during the stay in the maternity hospital the baby will sleep, wipe the child after water procedures.
- The most convenient version of clothes for a newborn will be body (socks with a fastener between the legs) in the warm season or little people (overalls) in the cold. Convenience of them is that they do not bully up, do not crumple, and to change the diaper it is enough to unbutton the buttons between the legs. For the first time, it's better to take models with buttons at the front, because to put things on a newborn
over the head is quite difficult. Take them you need at least 3-5 pcs. - Hats for the baby - 3 pcs.
- Diapers for newborns - 1 pack. You can choose a special model with a cutout for the navel, but this is not necessary. It is not necessary to buy immediately a large pack of diapers, because even the most expensive and widely advertised to your baby can not come up and cause allergies.
- Wet wipes for newborns - 1 pack.
- Sterile cotton wool - 1 pc.
