Bosnia and Herzegovina is an amazingly beautiful country, for the most part it is the merit of its mountainous landscape. But the development of the tourist business was also influenced by the presence of a coastline of twenty-four kilometers. And all this belongs to just one small town - Neum . This is the only settlement of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has access to the Adriatic Sea.
Features of a beach holiday
Neum is the only Bosnian seaside resort , only here you can soak up the sun and swim in the warm Adriatic Sea. At the same time, prices for recreation here are more than affordable. Choosing between Neum and the neighboring resort of Dubrovnik, the tourists often prefer it to Bosnia. Climate
The temperate continental climate of Bosnia and Herzegovina provides warm summer weather for six months. The swimming season starts in May. But the truth is to swim in the first warm month will only be seasoned, as the water is still not warm enough. In July, air is heated to 28 degrees, and water - to 25, so the second month of summer - is the best time to relax with children. The sea remains warm until the middle of autumn and in September people are no less than in July and August.
It is worth noting that all the Bosnian beaches are mostly pebbly and in some places the stones are large enough, so if you go to the beach, it is worthwhile to arm yourself with special rubber sandals, especially if you have children with you. The surrounding mountains protect Neum from the winds, so here you will not be able to cut through the waves on the surf or enjoy kiteboarding.
