On the territory of the Lake Park, next to the Parks of orchids , butterflies and deer, there is another attraction - the Bird Park. Here both children and adults are very fond of being. And so the guests of the Malaysian capital should definitely visit this piece of tropical forest right in the middle of the city, where most of the birds live in natural conditions, and only those birds that can not contact other inhabitants of the park live in the fences.
The bird park in Kuala Lumpur is the largest aviator in the world. More than 2,000 birds live on an area of more than 8 hectares. Many of them were received by the park as a gift, including from the embassies of such countries as Australia, China, Netherlands, Thailand, etc.
Park areas
In the park of birds in the capital of Malaysia, pets live in a natural environment. They do not get scattered by a giant grid, which covers the entire park. In cells (and sufficiently large) are only predators and other birds that can harm a person, for example, cassowaries.
The park is divided into 4 zones:
- one of them is dedicated to rhino birds, which are a symbol of the park;
- in the other live parrots and birds that live in the countries of South-East Asia; There is also a waterfall and a pond where waterfowl live;
- in two more zones it is possible to see more than 60 species of birds, including predatory ones, which live in special cells, waterfowl (including flamingos that live in a special pond), flightless (all 4 species of such birds inhabiting our park are represented in the park planet).
In each of the zones there are signs that depict and briefly describe their inhabitants. Birds can be fed; Special feeds for different types are sold at the box office.
Show, scientific and educational programs
In the bird park, twice a day - at 12:30 and at 15:30 - there are shows featuring birds. The amphitheater seats 350 spectators. The park conducts a variety of educational programs and scientific seminars. There is a special training center in which children are told about the habits of birds, their anatomy and peculiarities. There is a hall for seminars.
The park participates in breeding programs for birds. They successfully bring out emu chicks, African gray parrots, yellow-billed stork-beaks, silver pheasants and others. Visitors to the park can visit the incubator and, if lucky, see the hatching process.
Infrastructure
Visitors to the park can eat on its territory (there are several cafes and restaurants) and buy souvenirs in one of the shops.
There is a special playground for children in the Park of Birds. And Muslim visitors are provided with a special prayer room, where you can perform prayer at the appointed time.
