With diseases of the vestibular apparatus (vertigo and Meniere's disease ), Betaserc is prescribed. This remedy is based on a synthetic analog of histamine and shows proven efficacy for several months. But not all patients can take Betaserk - medicine analogs are designed for people with intolerance to this medication or an allergy to it.
What can replace Betaserc?
Consider the equivalent synonyms of the described drug, identical to its composition and the active substance - beta-histidine dihydrochloride.
Direct analogues of tablets Betaserc:
- The micrometer;
- Betaver;
- Asnithon;
- Vestibo.
The first specified medicament is available in 2 doses - 8 and 16 mg of the active ingredient in each capsule. It should be taken similarly to Betaserc (at meal time) 1-2 tablets 3 times a day. The daily dose does not exceed 48 mg of betahistine.
Despite the identical composition, the Microzer is better tolerated by patients and causes fewer side effects:
- slight feeling of heaviness in the epigastric region, especially after eating;
- mild nausea;
- allergic manifestation in the form of itching urticaria, shallow rash (very rarely).
Betaver is also produced in tablet form with a concentration of betagistin 8 and 16 mg. The method of use, dosage and frequency of reception is identical to the Microscope.
It is worth noting that BetaVer acts much faster than Betaserc. Noticeable improvements in the functioning of the vestibular apparatus appear already during the first 14 days from the beginning of taking the medication. Long-term therapy (several months) allows to achieve a sustainable positive effect.
Side effects are extremely rare and represent a weak manifestation of allergy with a tendency to immune reactions of hypersensitivity, as well as mild dyspeptic disorders (abdominal pain, nausea).
Asniton is completely analogous to Betavera, including a rapid impact. The only difference is the risk of developing a serious side effect with allergy to betagistin - Quincke's edema .
Vestihibo is the only direct analogue of Betaserc at a dosage of 24 mg. It is also sold at a concentration of 8 and 16 mg. The method of taking the described preparation depends on the type of tablets:
- three times a day for 1 capsule 8 or 16 mg (as prescribed);
- twice a day for half or a whole tablet of 24 mg.
Side effects are few - dyspeptic disorders and allergic reactions in the form of skin rashes.
