Toilet in a private house

We are all used to comfortable living conditions today. In our apartments there is light, water, heat, all waste is removed centrally. But the owners of private houses should take care of the arrangement of the bathroom independently. If the house is built from scratch, then we should think about the toilet at the design stage, but it's more difficult to equip the bathroom in the already constructed house. Let's take a look at the most common version of the arrangement of a backyard closet, a toilet that was not previously planned in a private home.

Layout of the toilet in a private house

To properly arrange a warm toilet in a village house, you need to consider several important factors. First of all, you need to choose the right place for the future of the bathroom. You can make an extension to the house and already in it to equip the toilet and even, if desired, a bathroom.

If you want to equip the toilet in the house, it is better if it does not have common walls with living rooms. It can be located next to an external wall, with a corridor or with technical rooms. Having made an additional partition and a doorway in it, we get a room in which the bathroom is well located. It is better not to arrange a bathroom over living rooms and kitchen in case you have a two- or three-storey house.

If there is a water well or a well with a pump on your site, there will be no problems with water supply to the toilet. But if it is not, then the toilet should be placed so that above it there is some place to install the tank, which will have to pump water with a pump. The hood in the toilet, called the backlash channel, is best laid next to the heating pipes or with the chimney.

The cesspool should be kept away from the house. Be sure to consider the proximity of this pit to sources of drinking water located on the street: a well, a well. The distance between them must be at least 25 meters.

The cesspool should be carefully insulated, for example, with concrete rings to avoid contamination of groundwater and soil. Sewer pipes from the house to the pit should lie under the slope. In addition, the cesspool should be closed with a sealed cover, and it should be equipped with permanent ventilation.

The minimum dimensions of the toilet in a private house are 0.8 meters wide and 1.2 meters deep. The door in the toilet should open only to the outside.

Toilet in the wooden house

If you have a wooden house, then it shrinks for many years. This should be borne in mind when installing a toilet in a wooden private house. Most often, when installing a bathroom in a house of logs or beams, profiles of the sliding frame are used. To such profiles are attached water and sewer pipes. Thanks to this design, even with shrinkage, all plumbing will be securely fastened, and cracks will not appear on the walls.
