The origins of the Renaissance date back to those distant times, which gave a new style - the Renaissance. The distinctive features of this style are simplicity, harmony and perfection. It affected not only religion and architecture, but also the fashion of that time.
Renaissance clothing
The clothes of that time carried a certain task, namely, to emphasize the standards of female beauty. It is a stately (not skinny) figure, broad shoulders, lush forms and a luxurious bust. So, out of fashion, the understated and inflated wearing of belts went out, and the women's outfit began to gather only from two dresses. Dresses in the Renaissance style consist of a simple shirt and a ghamurra, a top dress, more similar to our modern robe. This is a long skirt and bodice. It is worth noting that the decollete had a free form or, as it was called "stray", and during walking could move not only to the sides, but even to bare the chest by accident. From the materials, velvet, silk and brocade come out on top. But the underwear gets more sexual forms, which was previously considered the height of impropriety.
Down with Gothic
Renaissance clothing is a clever combination of bright colors and rich ornamentation. Gothic style is out of fashion, giving way to more fresh ideas. So, at the peak of popularity was the vine, curls and weaving of ribbons. Also in fashion include geometric patterns with curls and a long sheet. Patterns were executed so as to create the effect of pure gold. The style of the Renaissance in clothes also presupposed the existence of different versions of rich decor in a dress. These are fur inserts, precious stones and embroidery.
As mentioned earlier, the elements of Renaissance style were simplicity and harmony, so the outfits should have clear proportions, and the skirt with the bodice must necessarily harmonize with each other and emphasize individual parts of the woman's body. Not without reason, the image of Renaissance women still inspires many designers.
