When Monique failed to get her wedding dress, which she dreamed of, she just went under the crown ... naked!
Although in this case it is worth telling about everything in order ... It turns out that with her future fiance - 27-year-old truck driver Rowan Monique met in November 2014 on the Internet.
The lovers immediately found common interests - the love of dogs. After a meeting in real life in March 2015, the couple no longer doubted their feelings and even set a date for the wedding - on Valentine's Day next year.
And even more, Monique and Rowan wished to hold a wedding ceremony in the theme of tea from "Alice in Wonderland"!
"We ordered a hall, selected witnesses and bridesmaids and even rented a themed silverware," says Monique Penberty, "but the biggest problem for me was the choice of my dream dress! Given the features of the figure (and the weight of Monique is about 165 kg), I spent several months searching, but still, I found the most suitable outfit of ivory ... "
Unfortunately, on the Day of All Lovers, Monique and Rowan failed to become legal spouses - on the anniversary of the acquaintance the girl landed in the hospital where she was put a terrible diagnosis - necrotizing fasciitis.
According to the symptoms, this rare skin disease spreads rapidly through the veins and lymph nodes, then the skin becomes scarlet and begins to die. In this situation, it was not about the wedding, because it was not known whether the girl would survive or not.
To try to save Monique, the doctors had to put her into a state of artificial coma, and then surgically get rid of the infection and remove the rotting flesh.
In an unconscious state, the girl spent 31 days and 73 more on the hospital bed after she woke up.
The bridegroom all this time was nearby and cared for two of her four-footed pupils. But as soon as Monique managed to get on his feet - the question of the wedding was again the main thing on the agenda. Alas, it turned out that Monique's mother had canceled all previous preparations of the couple, and the dress had already been bought by someone ...
But when after the next long search the bride realized that she could not find a suitable dress for her figure, she decided on a desperate step - to get married in one veil!
"Out of what we planned, nothing happened," Monique says. "But after what I survived and miraculously survived, it was all the same to me."
