In Latvia there is a huge city-resort of Jurmala , which is famous all over the world. There are places that attract the possibility of active recreation, one of such is the Livsky Aquapark.
Livsky Water Park - description
The water park is called Liva, it looks like a three-story building, supplemented by a 25-meter tower. It is considered the largest water park in the entire Baltic and Eastern Europe. From the side the building looks like an ancient ship, but inside there are outlines of the Caribbean style. Its walls, as if already disintegrating from old age, but in fact it is a design move.
Livsky Aquapark is famous for its huge swimming pool, which covers an area of 500 square meters. m, it creates artificial waves and controls the temperature of the water. The water park is designed to accept 4,500 people at the same time. Officially it is considered to be closed, but it is also equipped with an opening zone that works during the summer. The temperature in the water park is maintained at 30-32ºС in the air, and for water reaches 30ºС. For sauna visitors, you can cool in the pool with a 10-degree temperature.
Entertainment Livsky Aquapark
The territory of the Liva Aquapark is divided into two zones:
- In the first there is a coast with a sandy beach and recreational facilities. There is an opportunity to ride a jet ski, catamaran or boat, for this purpose a jetty is built on the shore.
- The second part is covered and works regardless of the weather conditions. It is equipped with various descents and water attractions. There are 40 attractions in the Livsky Aquapark for different ages and difficulties of descents.
To enable visitors to quickly find a place for children's recreation, for extreme entertainment or for family recreation, the building is divided into 4 semantic zones:
- Captain Kid's land - this area is created for the youngest visitors. Here is built a huge pirate ship with descents and slides. Specially created river Orinoco has a long extension with underwater caves and waterfalls. Among the popular attractions are the grotto of Monte Cristo and Bird's Rock .
- Attack of sharks - a zone created for fans of adrenaline, which will be able to experience the tightening funnels and tall towers. The most extreme trumpet got the frightening name "Red Devil" . At many attractions there are no restrictions, but children need to come to this area only in the accompaniment of their parents.
- The rainforest is an area where you can enjoy swimming and palm trees. There are 4 swimming pools and a trumpet with silver tint. Local attraction Tornado is listed in the top three in size all over the world.
- Paradise Beach - the zone of the wave pool. Here you can see a wave of up to 1.5 m in height or climb the lighthouse and see the beauty of the Livsky water park. Also this area is equipped with bars, where delicious drinks are served.
On the territory of the water park there is an opportunity not only to have a good time to swim, but also to try all kinds of dishes and cocktails. To do this, you need to visit restaurants or bars, which are located around the perimeter of the entertainment center. In the Aquapark there are many additional services, such as a jacuzzi, solariums, SPA procedures and water massage.
How to get there?
If you get to the Livsky Aquapark from Riga on the way to Jurmala, then the structure will be located between the stations Lielupe and Bulduri. If the journey takes place on your own car, then you should choose the route A10, there will be a bridge across the Lielupe river on the way, and then you should only move to the right side. On this route buses, their numbers 7023 (it is worth to get out at Dubulti station) and 7021 (on this route the water park will be closer from Lielupe station) go constantly.
