When going on vacation - a forest, a river or a summer cottage - sometimes there is a need to provide first aid not only with scratches and small wounds, but also in more severe cases: burns or bleeding . Composition of the individual dressing package

The package includes:

1. Gauze or elastic bandage. There are different sizes: a width of 10 cm, and a length of 5 m or 7 m.
2. Cotton-gauze bandages-pads. Usually, dressings are made in size 18x16 cm. In different sets, their number differs, but usually there are 2 pieces - moved along the length of the bandage and stationary (the position of which can not be changed). Cushions made of non-woven fabric or coated with a metallized non-woven material may be used to prevent the dressing from adhering to the wound.
3. A safety pin or other type of fastener. It is needed to fasten the bandage.

Here's how to properly use the individual dressing package:

1. We reveal the individual package. If the upper packaging is rubberized, then on the side will be made special cuts, which should be torn. This is done both for the convenience of opening the package and to maintain the integrity of the material, as it may be needed when applying a bandage.
2. We get the parcel wrapped in parchment paper, and we take out bandages with pillows, touching only their outer side (it is also marked with a dark or colored thread). The pin in the bag, so that it is not lost, it is better to immediately attach to the clothes in a prominent place.
3. We take in the left hand the free end of the bandage, and in the right hand - its roll. We spread our hands to the side so that the entire bandage is straightened.
4. We put on the wound:

• if the area of ​​damage is large - we place the pillows side by side;
• if the wound is through - the inlet is closed by a stationary (fixed) pillow, and the output - movable;
• with heavy bleeding - the pillows are superimposed on each other;
• with a penetrating wound in the chest, additionally a rubberized part of the individual dressing package is applied over the pillows.
