How to hang kitchen cupboards on a drywall wall?

Today, drywall, despite its popularity, is a relatively new material. Gypsum boards and walls are durable, practical, easy to install. However, their mechanical strength is not at their best. Therefore, if you bought a new kitchen set, you have a question: can I hang on the drywall kitchen cabinets and how to fasten them.

There are several ways to fix kitchen cabinets to the wall. Since the weight of the kitchen cabinets with the dishes is large enough, the most effective is fixing on the adjustable canopies. Let's look at this process in a small master class.

We hang up kitchen cabinets on drywall

  1. For work we will need such tools:
  • Determine at what height should be mounted hanging cabinets. In doing so, it should be remembered that the optimum should be the height at which you can reach the middle shelf in the closet without the help of a ladder or a chair.
  • We install awnings on the inner side walls of cabinets. To do this, in the upper corners cut out small holes so that through them can pass the fixing paws canopies. We screw the sheds with screws, pressing them to the top of the cabinet.
  • At an altitude equal to the sum of the heights of the lower and upper cabinets and the distance between them, we fix the metal guide.
  • In the fixing strip there are places for future holes in the wall. Drill the holes and attach the guide to the wall with the help of butterfly dowels.
  • We hang the cabinet, catching the canopies behind the guide, as shown in the picture. Now you need to adjust and lock all lockers with inter-section screeds.
  • As a rule, according to this method, even a novice builder can hang kitchen cupboards on the wall of plasterboard. Use only tested fasteners and then your kitchen set will reliably hang until the next repair.
