Headpiece Ubrus

Perhaps, the most ancient female dress is the ukrus shawl. It was called in different ways: a fly, a towel, an underworld, a hint, a veil. Speaking in general, this is a thin piece of canvas. There were a lot of ways of bandaging: the ends were differently tied, the fabric varied in width and length differently, the fabric itself and its decoration differed.

Ways of a bandage

Female ubrus was a thin rectangular panel 2 meters long and 40-50 cm wide. Initially, one end was tied around the head, and chipped under the chin. The second edge lay on his shoulder and was decorated with embroidery and sewing of gold, silver and silk. Beads were a very popular way to decorate a handkerchief. Rich people could afford to decorate their heads with jewelry over their uberos.

Later the ubrus on the head acquired a triangular shape. The ends were pruned under the chin and tied with a neat knot on the head. In this case, the ends were lowered on the back and shoulders. For the "ceremonial" exit, its part must have been clad. Tie the urethra under the chin became in the beginning of the XIX century, this tradition came to us from Germany. Before that, women tied this element of clothing with a "head" (high on the crown). And there was an impression that my teeth hurt.

The woman in the ubre to the present day

Despite the fact that this headdress appeared many years ago, it is still popular. Of course, now the girls do not tie the canvas high on the vertex, closing their chins. Actually hide the ends under the outer clothing, while twisting the handkerchief around the neck. This image looks very feminine. Often there is still the same, once very actual flower coloring. A fashionable figure is considered an abstraction. Ubrus (scarf) for women can be monophonic. It is important to choose the right color and picture of the product. It is equally important to tie a headscarf correctly. This will determine how you will look: elegant or ridiculous. The image should look very interesting, a bit old-fashioned and truly feminine.
