Fuel for biofireplaces

In the recent past, fireplaces were considered a luxury item, they had wealthy people in the country houses, while residents of apartment buildings could not even dream of such things. But today everything has changed dramatically with the advent of bio-fireplaces - real fire became possible in an ordinary apartment.

Of course, for such bio-fireplaces you need a special fuel - they are not stoked with firewood. And it is liquid biofuel, which allows every city dweller to enjoy his own fireplace.

How does the bio fireplace work?

For those who are interested in this issue, briefly describe the device of the fireplace. So, in the case there is a burner for bio-fireplace, in which fuel is poured and ignited. The volume of the fuel tank depends on how often you will pour ethanol. In more complex models, there are two burners separated by a perforated partition.

When pouring fuel you need to be extremely careful, because even a few drops spilled around the fireplace can lead to instant fire spread and fire.

Biofuel for biofireplaces - advantages and features

The difference between biofuel and conventional is that when burned, it does not emit soot and soot at all. By its composition it is practically pure ethanol (wine alcohol). Since the law does not allow the population to sell pure ethanol, for bio-fireplaces it is made from denatured ethanol.

Among the advantages of ethanol - it does not have a harmful effect on the environment, it decomposes on water vapor and carbon monoxide with the release of heat, burns with a colorless fire with a slight blue tint.

The device of the heating block in the bio fireplace and the composition of the fuel can not lead to smoke, sparks, toxic substances - such fireplaces are completely safe.

Fuel for biofire by own hands

Make it completely not difficult. We will need 96% ethanol (you can buy in a pharmacy) and high-purity gasoline, for example, designed for lighters.

Take a liter of alcohol and 50-80 g of gasoline, mix until they cease to separate. Right after cooking we use fuel so that it does not have time to separate from each other again.

Fill the mixture in the burner bio-fireplace and set it on fire. Such fuel is not worse than the purchased one. For a burning hour, you will need less than 0.5 liters. So a 2.5 liter tank will give you a minimum of 8 hours of enjoying a beautiful and safe flame.
