Floor parquet

Recently there has been a trend towards a return to everything ecological and natural. Floor coverings are no exception, and an increasing number of people choose a parquet or solid wood for finishing houses and apartments. But did you know that the parquet can be of several types, and the finish of the floor can vary depending on it?

Varieties of parquet flooring

  1. Piece of parquet floor. This is the most traditional type of finish, which is a narrow (40-70 mm) and short (200-450 mm) wooden bars, 14-22 mm wide. It is made from solid wood, and from valuable species. On their lateral and face faces there are grooves and spikes for convenient laying.
  2. Shielded parquet in its base has a square board made of chipboard or boards, and on the front side it has glued small strips of hardwood. The size of the shields is 400x400 mm or 800x800 mm, and the thickness varies from 15 to 30 mm. On the sides there are grooves for connection with the help of the keys. There are both standard shields and shields with artistic drawings.
  3. The palace parquet. This product is the most expensive, as the process of its manufacture is very laborious. In addition to the drawings, such a parquet can have curvilinear forms. Sometimes it is made from 80 types of wood, so such floors are truly a work of art.
  4. Cork flooring. Natural cork has a number of advantages: excellent sound and heat insulation, beauty and ecology. Wear resistance of such a coating is enhanced by applying a vinyl film on the front side.
  5. Wooden floor-parquet from solid wood or a massive board. They are made of solid wood, the plates have a large size - from 50 cm to 2-3 meters in length, 10 cm and more in width and with a thickness of 2 cm. This parquet is very durable and wear-resistant, it is considered an elite floor covering.
  6. Multilayer parquet - is made of several layers of wood. The front surface is made of valuable wood species, as the basis is glued lumber and woodworking waste. The middle layer, glued along the rails, is a narrow wooden slats 4 mm thick.
