Doors for the bathroom

The choice of the door is influenced by various factors: the quality of materials, color, design and, of course, the cost. Although very often the owners for the bathroom and toilet pick up the same doors as in the other rooms. The bathroom is very important for good ventilation. It is necessary that water vapor quickly disappear from the room, and the temperature should return to normal. In the bathroom, where reliable ventilation is installed, the door, not even the best, will last much longer.

Door selection

There are doors that are considered especially moisture resistant:

  1. Glass doors . They are very practical, they look trendy and modern in the interior of the bathroom, they are not afraid of mold, bacteria, swelling and excellent washing with any detergent. They are made of frosted glass, framed by metal and plastic. Some believe that for a private room like a bathroom, the glass door does not quite fit. This is not true, because the glass doors can be painted or tinted to such an extent that, in addition to light, nothing will be seen through them.
  2. Plastic doors are also moisture resistant, in addition, they can look stylish enough if they are also glazed and painted in color, suitable for the interior of the entire apartment. In addition, the plastic door is inexpensive, which also matters.
  3. Doors chipboard or MDF , finished with laminate. They are made of very light and durable composite materials, resistant to moisture. Their front surface is covered with high-strength film, which accurately recreates the texture of the tree. In addition, they are much cheaper than wood.

Very popular today are veneered doors. Veneer, lacquered on top, perfectly protects the door from the effects of wet environments. Feel free to install such a door in the bathroom if you are not going to pour water on it when taking a bath or shower.

Doors with plastic coating ("eco-wool") are even more durable than laminated doors. Such a finishing material is distinguished by its durability and strength, it is made from harmless polymers. Outwardly, it accurately simulates a tree , not only visually, but even to the touch. On the basis with the use of special vacuum technologies a coating is applied, which ensures the durability of such doors for bathrooms.

Doors made from solid wood are also sometimes installed in the bathroom. At the same time, the main condition is the production of a door with the obligatory observance of all technologies, from a well-dried tree. In this case, a special protective coating is applied to the array in several layers.

Doors for bathroom and toilet can be either solid or glazed. Stained glass windows are very popular. The bathroom door must necessarily be in harmony with the interior finish of the bathroom and match the doors to other rooms in the apartment.

Sometimes the interior doors from the array are decorated with various inserts made of glass or metal. It is better to not do this in the bathroom, so as not to create cares during cleaning.

Nobody can forbid you to put the door of any manufacturer for the bathroom. There is only one difference between such doors and ordinary interior ones: their dimensions. Plumbing doors have a width of 55 or 60 cm, while interior doors are usually 70 - 80 cm.
