Carnation is a restrained and even austere flower. It is customary to give it mainly to men, to impose on the monuments on May 9 and other anniversaries of the end of hostilities. If a bouquet of carnations has appeared in the house, cat lovers should be careful - this flower is a deadly threat to pets, so in no case should they be allowed to eat by pets. An excellent alternative to a living bouquet is a carnation made of paper, made by own hands. You can place artificial flowers on postcards, panels and even put them in a vase - you only need a silent time and effort. We bring to your attention some ideas how to make carnations from paper, which can become an excellent decoration of the interior and a complement to the gift.
How to make a carnation from paper?
To make a carnation from paper, you need:
- sheets of colored paper of red and green colors;
- ruler with circles;
- scissors;
- glue;
- Styrofoam;
- thin wire;
- tweezers.
Progress
- Cut out the patterns from the red paper in the form of flowers of 6 petals, each pierced in the middle with a needle or an awl. Minimum of templates should be five, better - more.
- Fold each pattern three times in half, so that this kind of petal turned out.
- We will stir petals on wet gauze or a napkin, wet paper is easier to correct and bend each petal into "accordion", then unfold.
- On a piece of wire, 5 cm long, we put on a ball of foam, fix it with glue.
- We put on the wire patterns, passing each through the circle in the ruler. To hide polystyrene, the flower can be wrung from above.
- For buds, you can take a smaller number of parts, as well as cut out asterisks from green paper and paste them into a ready-made bud. Ready-made carnations from colored paper can be placed on a panel.
Carnation corrugated paper
For the production of flowers from corrugated (crepe) paper, we will need:
- corrugated paper of red, green and white colors;
- wooden skewers;
- ribbon for floristry;
- glue;
- scissors;
- wire.
Progress:
- For one carnation you need 4 pieces of corrugated paper measuring 10 by 10 cm.
- Fold each square in half and once again in half.
- It turns out a square 5 by 5 cm, we bend it diagonally.
- Raise the bottom edge.
- The protruding part is cut in such a way that a triangle is formed.
- We turn it to one fold and cut it out along the edge of the notch.
- We unfold the leaf and cut it almost to the middle.
- Thus we act with all four leaves for the future carnation.
- Make a core - a piece of paper about 3 to 5 spread with glue and twist the top of the skewers.
- In the center of each leaf we make a hole, pass it through the skewer, spread it with glue and lift the petals upward, forming a flower.
- Similarly we do the three other leaves.
- In order for the stem of the flower to turn green, we wrap it with a ribbon for floristry.
- To make the leaves of the flower, we cut out from the green paper 2 strips measuring 10 by 3 cm and 2 more in size 5 by 3.
- Cut off pieces of wire in such a way that they have enough for the entire length of the leaf with a margin for fastening to the stem.
- Each leaf is bent in half, cutting corners to shape.
- We attach to the flower first small leaves (photo of a carnation from corrugated paper 22), then large.
- For a bouquet, you need at least three flowers. One of them can be made white.
- A ready bouquet can be placed in a vase.

Also, three-dimensional cornflowers from corrugated paper will look spectacular on the postcard, but for it you need to take a cardboard of high density. If you have mastered carnations, you can proceed to create other colors: roses from corrugated paper , tulips or daffodils .
