Automotive

Auto museums, or ENAM (which stands for the Emirates Auto National Museum) is not a state museum, it's just a private collection of cars. Nevertheless, it will give odds to many "official" meetings. The museum belongs to the Arab sheikh, a billionaire named Hamad bin Hamdan al Nahyan, who was always fond of this subject and had enough money to implement any of his projects, even the most unreal. Let's find out what you can see here.

A unique collection of an auto museum

The facts speak for themselves:

  1. This is the largest collection of cars in the world. It is made up of at least 200 copies, the total value of which reaches $ 180 million!
  2. The car is divided into 2 parts. The first is inside a huge garage, and the second - in the open air. The fact is that some of the exhibits are so large that they simply can not fit into a covered building.
  3. Large cars are real houses on wheels - they even have a refrigerator and a TV! Other cars are painted in different colors of the rainbow or decorated with aerography, which also adds a visit to the museum of emotional coloring.
  4. Many of the exhibits were not purchased by the sheikh, but received as a gift.
  5. Almost all the cars are on the go.
  6. The most unusual and therefore valuable specimens are:
    • Rolls-Royce, which once went to Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain;
    • a huge pickup of the brand Dodge length of 15 m, under which a normal passenger car can easily pass;
    • a car designed for living in the desert and moving around it (in its salon there are 4 bedrooms, a terrace and 6 bathrooms). This car in its time fell into the Guinness Book of Records;
    • the Lockheed Tristar aircraft, which also entered the sheikh's collection;
    • a huge mobile globe on wheels;
    • cars for various purposes: military, sports and just rare.

Features of visit

You can see unusual cars of the Arabian sheikh any day from 9 am to 6 pm. The break in the museum lasts from 13 to 14 hours. The cost of visiting the institution by tourists is about $ 13 (50 dirhams UAE). Children under 10 years old admission free.

A landmark on the road will serve as a large jeep, towering above the road. In fact, this is a cafe where visitors to the auto museum can have a snack.

How to get there?

The attraction is located 61 km south of the center of the capital of the Arab Emirates , the city of Abu Dhabi . Here, rarely someone comes, except for tourists, so many taxi drivers are simply unfamiliar with the terrain - this needs to be prepared. Public transport does not go to the auto-museum.

Renting a car , it takes about 45 minutes to go through the desert. You should move first by Abu Dhabi - Al Ain Truck Rd, and then by Ghweifat International Hwy. Landscapes outside the window are quite monotonous, but at the end of the road you will be rewarded with a magnificent spectacle of the museum and its exhibits.

Another option is to visit the oasis of Liv , and then the car will be just on the road - these two excursions can be combined.
