  4. Monthly care for alstroemeria must include 3-4 feeding with full mineral fertilizers with a high content of potassium. As soon as the buds begin to be laid on the alstroemeria, it is necessary to completely exclude the nitrogen constituent from the nutritional composition.
  5. For the winter, alstroemeria needs a special shelter. In this case, young plants must be excavated for the winter and, together with the earthen lump, stored until spring in a cool dry place. On seedlings, the seeds are sown in late February-early March, placing them in small pots and covering them with a plastic wrap. Within a month, pots with seedlings are tempered at a temperature of + 5 ° C. And in the open ground seedlings are transplanted at the end of May, when finally the danger of nocturnal frosts will finally disappear. For planting seedlings, it is better to choose a warm, but not a hot day, and a time when direct sunlight will not reach the site. Immediately after the landing, the site with alstroemeria must be thoroughly watered up so that the soil retains moisture as long as possible.
