With urethritis caused by mycoplasma, imidazole derivatives (Metronidazole, Ornidazole, Tinidazole) are prescribed for 7-10 days. Candidiasis urethritis is treated with antifungal drugs (Fluconazole, Terbinafine, Nizoral). The treatment of these types of urethritis in women is complex: candles are used with these drugs vaginally, together with the treatment of tablets. If infection with urethritis occurred sexually, then the course of treatment with drugs aimed at eliminating the pathogen is carried out simultaneously to both partners.

In addition to suppositories with antibacterial drugs, the local treatment of urethritis includes sedentary baths and douching with solutions of antiseptic or decoctions of herbs (chamomile, yarrow, calendula). If necessary, the doctor carries out installations in the urethra of solutions of Protargol, Chlorhexidine, Dekasan, Collargol, Miramistin.

Together with drug treatment, physiotherapy is prescribed (vaginal electrophoresis or the pubic area with a solution of Furadonin, diadynamic therapy of the lumbosacral zone). To improve immunity apply immunomodulators, multivitamins.

A special role in urethritis is given to a diet: for the prevention of exacerbations, alcohol, spices, smoked and pickled products are excluded from the diet, milk and vegetable food and a large amount of liquid are recommended during the day. During the period of exacerbation, sex, exercise, and hypothermia are contraindicated.
