Tile on the floor

A tile or ceramic tile on the floor is one of the popular floor coverings for rooms where there is a heavy load on the floor covering, as well as for rooms in which there is high humidity or temperature.

Types of floor tiles

Three types of tiles are distinguished according to the mode of production. The first one is pressed, when a special mixture of clay for the production of tiles (in professional language it is also called "dough") is passed through a special press where it is given the necessary size, thickness and shape, and then the drying process and, if necessary, coloring tiles, coating it with enamel. Another method is extrusion, when the finished tile dough is placed in a special machine that rolls it and produces a long flat ribbon, which is then cut into squares of the required size and dried. The third method of tile production is manual molding, however such material is very expensive, therefore it is used for repairs extremely rarely.

Application of tile for flooring

Tiled floor, as already mentioned above, is particularly widely used in places with high humidity or temperature. Therefore it is not surprising that almost everywhere you can find tiles on the floor in the bathroom or bath .

In addition to moisture resistance, it also has the necessary hygiene, it does not reproduce fungi and bacteria. Flooring tiles in the kitchen is also a widely used solution. Such a floor is easy to remove, crumbs and slices of food do not stick to it, it does not spoil from water splashes, and it is also resistant to high temperatures. Now in a fashion special design of a floor with a tile under a tree which looks freshly and unusually.

Not so often, but still tiles are used on the floor in the corridor. In this room very often dirt accumulated from the street, as well as the floor covering withstand high loads, so tile is one of the most practical solutions.
