Relations between parents and children are built on the similarity of a believer's relationship with God. God has given parents special power, and disobedience of parents is a real sin. That's why you should not particularly believe that the mother-child relationship is interrupted with a cut-off umbilical cord. The connection between the parent and her child can not be cut - it continues both at a distance and after death.
Sometimes, we complain about our troubles to friends, we expect advice and help from them. But what should we do when we need our help, not our children? At such times mothers can only rely on mother's prayer.
A woman can be an unbeliever, she may not know a single prayer , but the mother's soul does not require either faith or knowledge. It flows from the heart with a stream of sincerity and incorruptible humility before the all-powerful God.
God can be prayed in his own words, or with special church prayers.
The main thing is that you feel and let through the mother's prayer for the children. Try to feel the following prayer:
"Merciful Lord, Jesus Christ, I give you my children, whom You have given us by performing our prayers. I ask You, Lord, save them in the ways that You yourself know. Keep them from vices, evil, pride and let nothing be touched by their soul, contrary to You. But grant them faith, love and hope for salvation, and they shall be your chosen vessels of the Holy Spirit, and may their life's path be holy and blameless before God.
Bless them, Lord, let them every minute of their lives fulfill Your holy will, so that You, Lord, can always be with them in their Holy Spirit.
Lord, teach them to pray to You, so that prayer might be their support and joy in their sorrows and the comfort of their lives, and we, their parents, were saved by their prayer. Let your angels always guard them.
May our children be sensitive to the grief of their neighbors and may they fulfill Your commandment of love. And if they sin, then grant them, O Lord, to offer repentance to You, and in Your inexpressible mercy forgive them.
When their earthly life ends, then take them to Your Heavenly Abodes, where they lead with them the other slaves of Your elect.
Prayer of the Most Pure Mother of God and the Ever-Virgin Mary and Your Saints (list all the holy families), Lord, have mercy and save us, for you are glorified with the Begin-Your Father and the Blessed Holy Spirit, now and ever and ever and ever. Amen".
Why is maternal prayer the strongest?
The strength of maternal prayer, as we have already said, is in its sincerity. Turgenev wrote that when a true believer prays, he asks God to do so that twice two is not four. That is, he asks for a miracle. And, really, only such a desperate request can be heard.
Maternal prayer is strong, because the mother loves her child for nothing, just because he is. The mother will not abandon him, even if the whole world turns away, even if the child becomes a murderer, a thief, descend into poverty. Mother's prayers are full of hope, zeal, faith, and this is something that can beg God for a miracle.
Most often the mother's prayers are pronounced to the Mother of God. After all, she is not only the patroness of all women,
"Mother of God, lead me into the image of your heavenly motherhood. Heal my soul and body wounds of my children (names of children), my sins inflicted. I give my child wholeheartedly to my Lord Jesus Christ and to Yours, the Most Pure, heavenly protection. Amen".
Pray for children is necessary not only in moments of difficulties, but all of life. It is advisable to begin before their birth, when they are under your heart. Ask God not only about the earthly (well-being, health , luck), but also about the spiritual, about the salvation of the soul.
