Montessori materials with their own hands

Didactic material Montessori is popular with parents and love in children for a hundred years. The main idea of Montessori's educational games is to introduce the child to the surrounding world with the help of basic senses: tactile, auditory, taste, sound and visual. This helps the child to organize knowledge about the surrounding reality.

All material is divided into groups that perform special functions. Particular attention is paid to the importance of Montessori sensory materials, because at an early age, sensory development is the leading one in children.

Today, you can buy any toys for the development of the child, but in view of the fact that the child needs more and more materials as he grows up, it is possible to make preparations for playing Montessori methods by oneself.

We offer a small master class on the production of Montessori materials with our own hands.

Geometrical Inner Frame

For such a frame, you need a box of cookies, whatman paper and colored paper. We cut the box into several rectangles, which will be the basis for the frame, cut out the geometric figures in them according to the type: from small to large. On the cut pieces we paste the colored paper of the primary colors so that the frame of the insert attracts the attention of the child. On the back of the frame of the frame we glue the paper to ensure that the geometric inserts do not fall out. The developing toy is ready.

Soft Pyramid

Such a pyramid can sew any mother who has a sewing machine. For the pyramid, you will need flaps of fleece or other material of different colors, a Velcro tape 2 cm in width, about 10 cm long, a sintepon or foam rubber for packing. To start, we cut out two identical squares of sides length: 4,5,6,7,8,9 cm. We cut the adhesive tape into pieces of 2 cm. In the center of each square we sew velcro: on all upper parts we sew soft parts of Velcro, on the bottom - Tough parts. Each square is stitched, retreating from the edge approximately 2 mm and leaving a small patch for packing. After filling the finished workpiece with sintepon and sewing. The base cushion can be stuffed with croup (buckwheat) for greater stability of the pyramid.

Multicolored hedgehogs

To make cheerful hedgehogs you will need cardboard, colored paper and clothespins. We cut figurines of hedgehogs, pasted them with cardboard, draw their eyes and mouth and play!

Geometric

For the manufacture of geometry you can use an unnecessary glossy magazine and clerical rubber bands. To make such a useful toy is extremely simple: it is necessary to glue the magazine with self-adhesive film and securely fasten clerical buttons with a plastic tip on it. It is important that the buttons are located at the same distance from each other, then with the help of geometry you can make an infinite number of shapes.

Exercises with Montessori-made material

Exercises can come up with a whole lot, the main thing is to give vent to fantasy. With the help of a geometric frame-liner you can study shapes, colors, size. Thanks to the soft pyramid, the child will learn to build a logical chain from the larger to the smaller, and vice versa. Games with clothespins develop fine motor skills, training little fingers. With the help of geometry, you can develop a child's imagination, teach him geometric figures, build chains: part-whole, etc.

Do not worry if the child does not immediately be able to perform the exercise without making mistakes, the main thing is that he eventually himself realizes and corrects the error. This approach stimulates the child's independence, develops a sense of responsibility and attention, creating a basis for critical thinking.
