Fateful role for the director and actress
Earlier, we reported that Emir Kusturica, at a Russian premiere of the drama, announced the completion of his acting career and full concentration on the direction and musical career (Emir is a musician in the folk band The No Smoking Orchestra).
In one of his interviews he confessed that the meeting with Monica Bellucci was not accidental, he was looking for a meeting with her and only saw her in the main role of her next film. This crazy idea came to Emir during the filming, he always gushes with ideas and can drastically revise the previously planned stories, well, it was a challenge that I coped with!

Taboo on erotic subjects
The actress shared that, having initially learned about the plot of the drama, she rigidly marked the boundaries of the filming of erotic stories.
I realized that the love story during the civil war is associated with a strong heat of passion, including sexual, but was not ready for them. Repeatedly I participated in erotic photography, and in the film "Irreversibility" there is a nine-minute story with the rape of my heroine, but there are taboos that I do not want to transgress in the acting profession - these are scenes of sex. Emir approached very delicately to the topic of intimacy and emphasized the views, words, the moment's significance gave more thoughts to grasp the feelings of heroes than just a sexual act. I confess that he was an ideal partner (Emir Kusturica played the protagonist) and as a director he provided for the smallest trifles, including how to present my body more advantageously in the frame, without going beyond the limits of what is allowed.
