As for the width, the barbecue dachas rarely measure more than 30 cm. Then one standard skewer you can string 6-8 pieces of meat. Now let's take a closer look at the basic models.

How to choose the brazier?

There are two main types of construction: portable and stationary. Each has its own advantages and is designed for a certain type of recreation.

  1. Mangals from metal with a roof. This model is perfect for arranging a recreation area in a private house or at the cottage. You can cook meat, fish, vegetables, or even cook a dish to a bowler hat. Mangals made of metal with a roof are installed in such a way that they do not interfere with the movement around the site and in case of bad weather you could easily continue cooking. This option is made of a fairly thick sheet of metal. The thickness of the metal for the brazier is from 4 to 7 mm. The design provides special racks, the roof is best made of a thin sheet of metal (approximately 2mm). As a rule, stationary brazier from metal is designed not only for the preparation of shish kebabs. The design includes a brazier, a stand for a wok, a stand for a spit and a hook for a cauliflower.
  2. Mangals from metal collapsible. These models are designed for traveling outside the city. They are light in weight and often packaged in special cases. As a rule, at manufacturing a sheet of metal of small thickness is used, therefore the design is designed for use only occasionally. Although it is convenient, it is short-lived and inefficient.
  3. Forged braziers from metal. Here the choice is really great. As a rule, the most simple construction is chosen for the country plot. It is easy to transport in a car and it does not take up much space. This is one of the rather expensive types, as masters rarely make several identical units. Beautiful legs in the form of a spiral, exquisite patterns on the sides and bizarre bends make a simple mangal a work of art.
  4. Professional braziers made of metal. This does not mean that this model is intended only for cooks in restaurants or summer cafes. The fact is that the design of this type is thought through to the smallest detail and allows you to prepare many other dishes from meat. A distinctive feature is the possibility of cooking meat at the same time on 20 skewers. Because this model is often purchased by owners of reputable restaurants.
  5. Gas braziers made of metal. Less popular model, but allows to cook meat on skewers even in winter. As a rule, a gas tank is included, so the weight of the whole structure is from 30 to 60 kg. This model is installed in a certain place and is used as a fixed brazier. In fact, this kind is very similar to a gas grill, because it is often purchased for a large family.
