If you have a large family and you are often visited by guests, then certainly there is a shortage of chairs and armchairs. In this case, a compact stool is very useful, which does not take up much space in the apartment and will serve as a full-fledged place for sitting.
Of course, you can buy a chair in a furniture store, but if you look closely, you can understand that it has a fairly primitive design and it can easily be mounted yourself. In addition, you can decorate a stool the way you want to use with this upholstery or a popular style decoupage . Making a stool from a tree with your own hands will not take much time, and the necessary material is sure to be found in the bins of the garage. In extreme cases, you can buy it in the store.
Getting ready for work
Before making wooden stools with your own hands you need to stock up on the instrument. You will need:
- a countersink drill bit;
- safety glasses;
- drill;
- pencil;
- device type Kreg Jig;
- gon;
- saw for angular cutting;
- grinding machine;
- protection for hearing;
- roulette.

The whole process can be broken down into stages.

- Decorative butt-ends . To create the illusion that the spacer is going through, cut off small blocks 3-4 cm wide and at an angle of 5 degrees to the perpendicular axis. Design of a stool with your own hands
Of course, the chair can be left in this form, with just cover it with a colorless varnish. But after all our stool should be the most original.
