After the luminaire is selected and the ceiling is stretched, it is possible to begin fixing.

How to properly hang a ceiling chandelier?

Installation of chandelier in the ceiling is made by one of the following options:

  1. Hook attachment. A simple way, suitable for all hanging chandeliers. Usually a hook is available in all apartments, but if you are not comfortable with its location, you can independently install a suspension hook using a special anchor or dowel, pre-drilled a hole in the floor. Hook and wiring under the lamp are output through a special thermo ring.
  2. Fastening on a profile. Some luminaires are equipped with pins that are attached to the metal profile. Before installing such a profile, it is necessary to cut out a wooden block, which will become the base for the metal profile. The thickness of the bar should be 2 mm less than the gap between the tension and the main ceiling. The platform is fixed with screws with dowels to the ceiling. The mounting plate is attached to the bar within the thermo ring. The base of the chandelier is mounted on a bar and fastened with nuts and studs.
  3. Cross-shaped profile. This is an excellent option for those who are looking for an option, like to hang a chandelier on a stretch ceiling without a hook. Used for heavy chandeliers with a wide base. The installation requires a large area for mounting holes, so the limits of the thermal ring will not be enough. Installation is as follows: a base plate is attached to the base ceiling, commensurate with the dimensions of the crosspiece. There are 5 holes reinforced with plastic rings in the ceiling: 4 small ones and one big for wires. The chandelier connects to the wiring and is attached to the crosspiece.

In all three ways of fixing it was said about the "thermo ring". This reinforced plastic ring, whose thickness is less than 5 mm.

The ring is glued to the PVC linen with glue with cyanocrylate (Super-Moment, Superglue, Secunda). The glue is applied along the perimeter of the ring, after which the part is pressed firmly against the web. Cloth inside the ring is cut with a blade or a wallpaper knife.

The wires are connected to the chandelier, after which the lamp is hung on the hook or attached to the platform. The fixing point can be decorated with a decorative sticker or polyurethane outlet.
