Chanel Brand History

Every fashionista today knows that Chanel is not just a fashionable brand, it's a world brand, the founder of which is a small frail woman, whom everyone knows as Coco Chanel.

History of the Chanel brand

Gabriel Boner Chanel was born in a very poor family and was brought up in a shelter, in constant need. When the girl was 18 years old, she settled in a women's clothing store and combined work in a cabaret, trying to sing and dance. It was in the cabaret that she had the pseudonym "Coco". But singing and dancing did not work out. Her fashion was attracted throughout her life, so in 1910 the history of the Chanel brand began when Koko opened her first store in Paris. The development of her creativity contributed to the rich lovers, and they had it a lot.

The history of the Chanel fashion house began with the sale of hats, and although the first time the income was good, yet she was unhappy, because she always dreamed of creating a line of women's clothing. Since Koko did not have a special education, there were some difficulties with the realization of the dream. But, since Gabrielle Chanel was enterprising enough, she found a way out to start sewing women's clothing from a jersey fabric that was designed for men's underwear.

The history of the fashion house Chanel developed rapidly. In 1913, she already had a chain of shops selling comfortable and unusual clothes for that time. And since her collections did not have cumbersome dresses and corsets, the clothes she created were extremely popular.

Surprisingly, Coco never created a pattern on paper. She immediately embodied her ideas, using a mannequin. On the dummy she sewed and edited the models. Thanks to this technique Chanel achieved the most important thing in clothes - comfort in motion.

1919 in the history of Shanel is considered the most tragic, since her lover, Arthur Capel, who was her sponsor in combination, died in a car crash. This tragedy forced the young couturier to introduce a black color. Surprisingly, black color soon became the standard in the fashion world.

Gabriel (Coco) Chanel revolutionized the fashion world. She introduced short haircuts, a small black dress and created the most famous fragrance that the whole world knows about - Chanel # 5.

In 1971 on January 10, a small fragile woman who conquered the entire fashion world, died. But the story of Chanel did not end there. For today it is the most famous world brand, which produces luxury goods. While Chanel No. 5 fragrance lives and a small black dress, the company will not cease to exist.
