Stella McCartney is supported in her endeavors by the animal protection organization PETA and the investment company Stray Dog Capital. They will sponsor the award "Fur without Animals".
The contest that Stella came up with is called the Biodesign Challenge. It is aimed at talented students and scientists who work in the field of biotechnology. The main task of the contestants is to develop an adequate alternative to wool.
