- for glazing insulated terrace (warm);
- for installation on non-insulated terraces and balconies (cold).
By the mechanism of the folding of the doors, two types are also distinguished: windows that are folded in parallel (to them are also sliding windows of the accordion) and lifting systems (vertically sliding windows). Both systems are very convenient for saving and rational use of space.

Despite the obvious advantages, slider systems are not yet too popular because consumers are not ready to change the tested old products for years, considering that:
- Sliding systems are much more expensive than conventional metal-plastic windows, however, this is not so;
- they are colder. This opinion arose partly because of their appearance, and partly due to the fact that when installing windows, people usually chose a cheaper profile, and this is just the cold profile;
- Sliding systems do not fit into conventional plastic windows. In most cases, this is true, but if you choose a good foreign firm, the windows will perfectly fit through "regular couplers" with other systems and windows;
- system with a "slider" does not last as long as simple metal-plastic windows;
- The installation process is lengthy and time consuming. Of course, we need the help of professionals.
