Lalious - compatibility

Laliums are called small sized fish of the labyrinth family, home to which are the warm waters of the rivers of India. Beautiful coloring and simplicity of content make them extremely popular with beginners and experienced aquarists.

Conditions for the content of the Lalius

It is worth taking care that the volume of the "house" of the fish is not less than 15 liters. The space should be filled with warm water, which does not require special chemical composition. These fishes adore hiding in the undergrowth thickets. Installation of the aerator is not mandatory, since lalius is a bright representative of labyrinth fish. The diet consists of components of vegetable and animal origin, but you can use ready-made dry food. Lailius are very timid and peaceful creatures, which should not be combined with cocks and barbs.

How many live the Laulius?

It is worth taking in and taking into account the fact that the Lalius are not long-lived and will live in the aquarium for a maximum of 3 years. The duration of their existence in no way will increase, even with the maximum approximation of living conditions to natural. During this time they grow up to 6 cm and please the owner with a smart color of red or blue tones.

With whom do the laliias get along?

Neighbors of this species should be small fishes of a peaceful nature and the ability to live in the same conditions. The compatibility of lalius is at a high level and allows the owner to expand the selection of aquarium inhabitants. Males sometimes exhibit intraspecific aggression and struggle for the female, food or guarding the caviar. However, this does not in any way concern other species living in the same territory as the lalius.

Given the fact that the males are vivid representatives of the "fighting" fish and have a pugnacious character, it is not recommended to plant them together with the lalius. This neighborhood is fraught with constant fatalities for the latter. The phlegmatic and pride of the scalars allows them to calmly tolerate all the attacks of the Lalius. Possible injuries like tears fins or twisted sides. But this will not last long, and revenge will not keep you waiting.

Gourami and the Laliusians can side by side quite successfully. If the individuals are approximately the same size, then there is no need to fear conflicts. Both species are calm and balanced until they notice a fish smaller than them. The desire to assert itself or simply to be overpowered is fraught with the application of some not serious injuries.

The extraordinary compatibility of lalius and its unpretentiousness allows aquarists to combine them with practically all types of fish.
