From time immemorial, a woman's shawl served as a traditional headdress. The history of the women's costume today is difficult to imagine without a delicate palette of oriental scarf, riot of colors of gypsy or life-affirming colors of Pavlov-Posad shawls. But as a stylish accessory, tied around the neck, waist or bag, women began to use a handkerchief much later - only from the last century. At the same time, the ends of the scarf can be freely released on the shoulder.
If you like the youth style - fold the handkerchief diagonally, and, closing the forehead, tie the knot on the nape of the neck over the wide edge of the scarf. A more elegant version of the previous method is when the knot is placed on the side, and the ends of the knot are refilled, giving it the shape of a flower. - Cowboy: fold the kerchief diagonally and at the base of the resulting triangle, bend the width of the palm again. The resulting kerchief is tied relatively freely wide end forward.
- Using a handkerchief buckle: a striped shawl is put on the neck, and at the front ends of equal length we fasten the buckle. With a business style, a very similar version with asymmetrical ends looks very impressive.
- French scarf: tie as required by the classical canons is easier than a silk handkerchief. The kerchief folds into a strip about 5 cm wide. The ends of the kerchief cross over from behind on the neck, then are removed in advance and tied into a single knot. Further, to tie a French shawl as it should, the knot is slightly shifted to the side and a double knot is already tied. The ends are neatly straightened.
How to tie scarves?
